Based in New York, the private investment firm of Trimaran Capital Partners (“Trimaran”) and its subsidiaries were founded in 1998 to manage private equity funds, managing collateralized bond and loan bond funds, and hedging funds investing in state and private debt and equity securities.

MODERN OPERATIONS

Trimaran Fund Management, LLC

Trimaran Fund Management, LLC is a manager of private equity funds. Trimaran Fund Management and its predecessors have invested approximately $1.75 billion in over 60 private equity purchases and other transactions of over $10 billion. These transactions ranged from extremely organized investments in projects and infrastructure to high-value investments and turnarounds, from growth and technology-oriented investment. The topic companies covered a variety of industries in these acquisitions, including energy, infrastructure, telecommunications/media, technology, consumer products and services, financial services, and manufacturing.

PRIOR OPERATIONS

Trimaran Advisors, L.L.C.

Trimaran Advisors, L.L.C. (“Trimaran Advisors”) was Trimaran Capital Partners’ credit-based alternative property management arm in New York City.  

Trimaran Advisors focused primarily on corporate debt below investment grade, using major credit research to identify attractive investment opportunities and monitor loans in the company’s investment portfolios.  Trimaran Advisors have managed several generations of collateralized debt obligations and collateralized credit bond funds. KCAP Financial Inc. bought Trimaran Advisors in February 2012.

Trimaran Credit Managers LP

As a sub-advisor to Trian Credit Funds, as well as other fund managers and managed accounts, Trimaran Credit Managers LP (“Trimaran Credit Managers”), managed distressed loan and equity-oriented hedge funds. In the United States, Canada, and Europe, Trimaran Credit Managers concentrated on leveraged, stressed, and distressed businesses’ private and government debt and equity securities.
